Torch Family Day - August 11th, 2007
On Saturday, August 11, TORCH rode at CTOR (Central Texas Off-Roaders.) This was the first ride of the year that didn't consist entirely of mud. In fact, other than the high temps, the riding conditions were excellent.
We were blessed to have almost 50 riders turnout, including Jack and Ryan Penton along with their friend Tom. We had several first time TORCH riders and even had a few riders from as far away as Dallas.
Jack, Ryan and Tom were awesome people and great to hang out with. They entertained us with stories of racing, John Penton and the off-road industry. It goes without saying that they were also accomplished riders. After lunch they took time out to have photos taken with folks.
TORCH served up lunch, consisting of burgers, dogs, chips, cookies and drinks. Also, for the first time, we had TORCH T-shirts and FOX hats for sale, with all proceeds going directly to TORCH for future events. Thanks to everyone who purchased a hat or t-shirt in support of TORCH.
