Our Values

Texas Off-Roaders under CHrist (TORCH) is a Central Texas group that provides a family friendly, pressure-free, fun riding environment to reach out to the off-road riding community with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. TORCH organizes monthly rides to provide an enjoyable, safe, and family friendly atmosphere for experiencing the thrills of off-road riding, and to introduce new riders to this exciting sport. In order to provide this type of riding experience, TORCH adheres to and strongly recommends the following guidelines for all riders.

Treat everyone with respect and dignity, just as we would expect them to treat us.

Operate off-road vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. All levels of riders are on the trails with you.

Always wear a helmet when riding any off-road vehicle.

Assist other riders with mechanical problems, injuries, etc.

Maintain slow, first gear speed through the pits and parking areas.

Keep off-road vehicles in good mechanical condition so as not to pose a safety hazard to others.

Respect the property of landowners (pick up trash; stay on trails, close gates, etc.)

Learn the rules of the host or landowner and follow those (hours of operation, trail directions, number of guests, etc.).

What to Expect

TORCH events are focused on providing a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment in which to experience the thrills of off road motorcycle riding. You will meet friendly riders of all ages and abilities. We strive to provide a relaxed, pressure-free atmosphere where you can ride at your own pace and ability. We even provide lunch at some rides.

TORCH rides usually take place at one of the public riding areas in the Central Texas area, but occasionally take place on private land. TORCH welcomes all levels and all ages of riders, from seasoned racers to weekend warriors to first time riders.

If you are new to the sport, let us know prior to a ride, and we can usually arrange to have an extra bike, gear and lessons available for your first ride. If you have any questions about a TORCH event, please contact us. We'd be happy to hear from you!

We Believe

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written. It is completely without error in its original writings and is our ultimate authority in all matters that it addresses.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
2 Peter 1:21 - For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:13 - This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

We believe the entire physical universe is the creation of God. It declares God's existence and gives a truthful revelation of God's character and purpose.

Acts 17:24 - The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.
Colossians 1:16-7 - For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

We believe there is only one infinitely perfect, eternal and personal God, the Creator and sovereign Sustainer of the universe. This one God exists eternally and simultaneously as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 

Matthew 28:19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 13:14 - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

We believe Jesus Christ is both true God and true man - the Incarnate Son of God. We also believe in the great events surrounding Jesus Christ's life and ministry, including: His eternal pre-existence, His virgin birth, His attesting miracles, His sinless life, His sacrificial death on the cross, His glorious resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, and His present work in heaven as High Priest and Advocate at the right hand of GOD. He will return in glory to resurrect and judge all mankind.

John 8:58 - I tell you the truth, Jesus answered, before Abraham was born, I am!
Matthew 1:23 - The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means, God with us.
Colossians 1:15-17 - He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, a ministry which includes glorifying Christ, convicting people of their sin, bringing about the rebirth of lost sinners, and dwelling within believers to empower them for godly living. 

Titus 3:5 - he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 1:13 - And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 6:19 - Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

We believe that all people are by nature separated from God and accountable for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are generously offered to all by the grace of Jesus Christ. When a person asks forgiveness of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, that person is re-born, all their sins are forgiven and that person becomes a child of God, ordained to spend eternity with the Lord. 

2 Corinthians 5:21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
1 Peter 2:24 - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

We believe The Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth to establish his glorious reign in a kingdom that will never end. As the sovereign Lord, He will resurrect and judge all humanity. Those who have received His offer of life through the Gospel will go to eternal blessings in heaven; those who have rejected it, to eternal conscious torment in hell. We look forward to Christ's Second Coming in glory.

John 14:3 - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Heb. 10:37 - For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.
Cor. 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

There are two; ways you can help to support TORCH:

Prayer: This ministry and its riders embrace prayer and welcome it.

Volunteer: It can be at one of our rides, rider clinics, motocross and off-road events, trail clearing and marking, web development, or something totally new. Help is always welcome. You can also bring food or other potluck items to the TORCH events.
